Richard Matheson (1926-2013)

Post  BoG on Mon Jun 24, 2013 7:18 pm

Richard Matheson died yesterday at age 87.
I may have read and seen more of his stuff in my lifespan than that of any other writer. There was his classic The Incredible Shrinking Man, made into a classic film. His I am Legend was filmed several times, including as The Omega Man (1971). There was the Spielberg telefilm Duel.  And there were his Twilight Zone contributions. That's for starters.

The earliest thing I saw of his was probably The Enemy Within, an early episode of Star Trek TOS.
Here's one write-up - http://www.deadline.com/2013/06/richard-matheson-writer-dead-r-i-p/  R.I.P.
