It's too bad that such a fun idea was given such unimaginative treatment. In a few good scenes, the injured scientist, in his hospital bed, is questioned by authorities and gives answers to questions before he hears them. But, as VideoHound and Bill Warren have noted before me, the timeslip has no relation to anything else in the plot. Why have it at all? The scientist is "cured" of his slippage before the conclusion anyway. And he never leaves his hospital bed. The timeslip is simply a gimmick. The movie is really a spy thriller featuring a wisecracking reporter (Gene Nelson who later directed the half-decent "Gamesters of Triskelion" Star Trek episode) and his tough-talking babe (Domergue, who gives the best performance of the film). A fat bearded smoking Argentinean is the villain, working for a chemical company that wants to sabotage the scientist 's lab. Some scenes are unexpectedly exciting, including a shootout at the climax, but the picture is mostly a waste of time.

Atomic Trivia: actor Arne (above) was introduced in this film. He later co-starred in Battle Beneath the Earth (67); he was murdered in 1983.
